The Homeless Services Program facilitates connections to resources and services for individuals and families experiencing homelessness in the District of Columbia.

Emergency Rental Assistance Programs

The District has several programs to support housing providers and tenants with emergency rental assistance:
 

  • STAY DCSTAY DC is a financial assistance program for D.C. renters and housing providers who are looking for support to cover housing and utility expenses and offset the loss of income. Apply today to receive money you can use to help you pay for your rent, gas, water, and electricity.
     

  • Landlord Partnership Fund

 

Additional Community and Federal Resources

 

District residents may request emergency shelter by calling the Shelter Hotline at (202) 399-7093 or 311. The hotline operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week during hypothermia season (November 1 – March 31).
