Programs

The District of Columbia partners with housing providers through permanent and time-limited subsidy housing programs.

A permanent subsidy providing wrap-around support services to help individuals and families with intensive needs to obtain & maintain housing stability.​​

A collaborative program between the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) that combines HUD housing vouchers with VA supportive services to help veterans who are homeless and their families find and sustain permanent housing.​​​​.

A permanent subsidy to help individuals and families referred from the homeless services system obtain and maintain housing stability.

RRH-I is a time-limited housing subsidy and support services program designed to assist individuals, including unaccompanied adults and youth, experiencing homelessness afford dignified and safe housing in the private market. Rental assistance and and services are provided for 12-18 months based on the needs of the household.

FRSP, also commonly known as Rapid Re-Housing for Families (RRH-F), is a time-limited housing and support program designed to assist families experiencing homelessness to afford dignified and safe housing in the private market. Rental assistance and support services are provided for 12 to 18 months based on the needs of the household.

The program provides homelessness prevention and rapid re-housing assistance to veterans and their families experiencing homelessness or housing instability.
